Neurology and neurocritical care

I am an ABPN-certified neurologist completing fellowship training in neurocritical care at SUNY Upstate Medical University. I care for patients with acute neurologic illness ranging from stroke and intracranial hemorrhage to status epilepticus, neuromuscular respiratory failure, and post-cardiac arrest brain injury.

These illnesses often require decisions to be made while the neurologic examination is changing, confounded, or incomplete. My clinical interests therefore include both the management of acute brain injury and the use of EEG, imaging, and multimodal physiologic monitoring to understand how the brain is responding over time.

Technical practice

Procedures and monitoring

Bedside procedures

Central venous and arterial catheter placement, lumbar puncture, and endotracheal intubation.

Critical care

Mechanical ventilation and external ventricular drain management, with point-of-care cardiac, pulmonary, and FAST ultrasound.

03

Brain monitoring

Continuous EEG interpretation, quantitative EEG analysis, and integrated multimodal physiologic monitoring.
